  4. All the following classes will be offered weekly starting from Feb and will run till the end of June 2022.
  5. All the class timings provided below are based on Easter Standard Time (ET)

✳️ Senior Math: Using Ontario Math Curriculum we will be learning about equations and build our skills to master multi step equations. We will analyze Mean, Median, Mode, Range, Stem-and-leaf Plots, and Making Histograms, Fraction, Decimal Conversions, Applying BODMAS to Fractions & Decimals, Exponents & Complex Word Problems. 1) Senior Science: Topics to be covered- Water’s Influence on Weather, Climate, The Effects of Ice, Monitoring & Maintaining supply & quality, Natural & Human Factors, Water Conservation, Water Sustainability through Science and Technology, Cells, The Wacky Cell Theory, Powerhouse of Cell, diffusion, Osmosis, Cellular Processes, Organisms depend on interactions. 2) Senior Geography: This course will include various Middle School Geography topics like discovering famous landmarks, various cultures around the globe, world continents, earth formations, holidays, mapping, virtual traveling, Canadian and US Geography. These classes will entail many hands-on, in-class activities that will enhance students learning experience in geography 11:25-12:05 pm Tue 11-13
1) Senior Current World Events: We will be discussing and analyzing many current world events in-class via debates, hands-on activities, follow-up assignments. These sessions will encourage critical thinking, analyzing personal and social views & biases. We will explore and interpret events from a Muslim glance. Topics like social justice, sustainable resources, health, new discoveries, entertainment, and social inequalities will be addressed frequently. Bushra Mohamoud 10:45-11:25am Thurs 11-13 40
2) Senior Language Arts: Students will write various types of major assignments such as essays that are creative, expository, and opinion-focused. Everyone will participate in, grand-in-class debate this semester. There will be 2-3 smaller assignments leading up to these major essays so that students receive continuous feedback and have time to improve their writing. Moreover, we will do grammar work that looks at different types of nouns, conjunctions, verbs, and how to write grammatically-correct sentences. Lastly, each semester will have a Novel Study wherein students will explore themes, analyze the characters, and have students think critically about the book’s message. 11:25-12:05 pm Thurs 11-13
1) Companions Around The Messenger: Will explore many inspiring biographies of the male & female companions of the Prophet (pbuh) via discussions, social games and in-class activities. Specialized Teachers from Various Ethnicities 10:10-10:35 am Wed 11-13 40
2) Virtues & Mannerism Based on Quranic Ayah Reflection: Every week we will contemplate over new Ayah from the Quran and study its Tafseer & Word Analysis. Each week’s Ayah will be based on a new in-class discussion topic on the Virtue being discussed. Topics will vary from kindness, generosity, respecting elders, establishing salah, honesty, being useful to others, anti-racism, anti-bullying, gender relations, gender equality, gender spectrum, appropriate and inappropriate relations in Islam. Fun in-class activities and games will be incorporated in lesson plans.r. 10:35-10:55 am Wed 11-13
3) Visual Arts: This course comprises interrelated activities in making, looking, and responding to art. It presents a range of activities in perceiving, exploring, responding and appreciating the visual world. We will navigate through Digital Art, Photography, Clay molding, Perspective Drawings, and build on Shading & Detailing, Marker, Crayons, Paint Collage skills in art. 11-13
4) Cooking & Baking: Once each month students will indulge in cooking/ baking fun, via live online classes with their teacher and peers. Will successfully prepare various meals for the entire family to enjoy, appetizers, smoothies, and desserts. Some dishes that will be made in class this semester are Lasagna, Chicken, Rice, Biryani, Alfredo Pasta, Cheesecake, Afghani, Somali, Italian, Arab, Hakka Chinese Cuisines. 11:00-12:00 pm Last Sunday Of Every Month 11-13
1) Arabic: The Language of Quran: Weekly theme based classes are designed to make learning Arabic fun and engaging for kids via in class games and Arabic conversations. Alzariyat Abdalla 11:15-11:40 am Wed 11-13 40
2) Quran Tajweed: New Tajweed Rules will be taught and reinforced every week. Students will participate in online assignments, interactive games and presentations. This course will cover all the Tajweed rules over the course of this academic year. Alzariyat Abdalla 11:40-12:00 pm Wed 11-13
3) Visual Arts: This course comprises interrelated activities in making, looking, and responding to art.
